1. What Honest Recipes Is

Honest Recipes is a recipe management app. It lets you:

• Save and organize recipes on your device
• Import recipes from photos or URLs
• Plan meals and generate grocery lists
• Optionally sync recipes across devices

Your recipe data is stored locally on your device by default. Sync and Pro features are optional.

2. Accounts

You don't need an account to use Honest Recipes. If you choose to create one (for sync or Pro features), you agree to:

• Provide accurate information
• Keep your login credentials secure
• Be responsible for activity under your account

3. Acceptable Use

Don't use the Service to:

• Do anything illegal
• Upload malicious code or attempt to hack our systems
• Abuse or overload our infrastructure
• Scrape or bulk-download content
• Impersonate others

4. Your Content

Your recipes are yours. You own everything you put into the app. By using sync, you grant us a limited license to store and transmit your data solely to provide the sync service. We won't use your recipes for anything else.

You're responsible for having the right to save any content you import (respecting copyright, etc.).

5. Pro Plan & Payments

Honest Recipes offers a Pro plan:

• Lifetime: $4.99 one-time payment
• Monthly: $1.99/month

Payments are processed by Stripe. Monthly subscriptions can be cancelled at any time — your access continues until the end of the billing period. We don't offer refunds for partial months.

We may change pricing with 30 days' notice. Existing lifetime purchases are honored forever.

6. AI Features

The photo import feature uses AI to parse recipe content from images. While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated recipe data may contain errors. Always review imported recipes for accuracy, especially ingredient quantities and allergen information.

7. Intellectual Property

The Honest Recipes app, design, and code are our property. Your recipe content is your property. Simple as that.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. You can delete your account at any time through Settings.

Since your data is stored locally, deleting your account doesn't delete your local recipes — they stay on your device unless you clear them.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. WE DON'T GUARANTEE THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, HONEST RECIPES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF DATA OR PROFITS.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Honest Recipes from any claims arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Duval County, Florida.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms. We'll post changes here and update the date. Continued use after changes means you accept the new Terms.
